4 people passinate about speedskating.  A little over a year ago I came to lakewood to skate.  I saw there were folks that wanted to keep Speed Skating going in Southern California. As of now I'm in my 3rd year of speed skating.  I started out skating with the other Speed Skating group Santa Calrita Speed Skating Club.  That is where I met Richard as the primary coach.  3 months into skating there was a race in Santa Calrita and that is when I met Jim and Mark for the first time.  

Back to Febuary of 2024 at Lakewood.  I saw there were people showing up and everyone was skating but I questioned if there coud be more.

I saw Jim runing the sessions but I wanted him too know we could suppot him.  I asked Richard if he would be willing to help run a weekly meeting for a few weeks and see where it went.

Have fun, if it isn't fun people will not keep coming.

Promote Speed Skating to Competative and Casual skaters.
